We will be exchanging our vows on the beach at Hanalei Bay, Kauai. Over that Memorial Day week our close friends and Ohana (meaning family in Hawaiian) from Texas to California to Hawaii and beyond will all be gathered together in one of the most pristine and beautiful locations on Earth.

This will be a unique time when we can all unite in fun and festivities as we celebrate the joining of two souls in committing to continue a lifelong adventure together. Of course this is a great opportunity to enjoy a vacation on the beautiful island of Kauai also!

The ceremony will be at the beach on Hanalei Bay, Kauai on May 29th, 2010 at 5:30 pm.

The ceremony will take place between the Hanalei pier (Blackpot Beach Park) and the Pavilion Beach Park, right in front of the little green house we rented for the week, the Paniolo Beach Cottage.

The best way to access the ceremony will be to park at the Pavilion Beach Park and walk toward the pier on the sand. To get to the Pavilion from the highway make a right in Hanalei Town at Aku Road (the restaurant Kalypso is on the corner). Take Aku to the end where it meets Weke, the closest road to the beach. Make a right on Weke and the Pavilion and parking lot will be immediately on the left.

The Reception

We want to have a fun party without worrying about waking up the neighbors and conforming to quiet hours. So we chose a location for the reception that will allow us to dance and have a good time until late into the night. The wedding reception will be a quick drive up the hill to Princeville at the Church of the Pacific’s Community Hall.

Driving directions: From Hanalei get back on the highway and go toward Princeville. It will take about 10 minutes. Go past the Princeville shopping center and main entrance, continuing on the highway. It will be your next left. The address is 4520 Kapa Ka Road; Princeville, HI 96722. Go up the hill and make another left into the church property. The party will be at the community hall and surrounding grounds.

Children are invited—we think they make weddings more fun. But the only condition is that you better stay and party! Using your keiki as an excuse to be a pooper is not acceptable. A list of baby sitters will be available.
